Bio

Maj Nolan M. Plate is the Operations Flight Commander for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 595. He oversees standardization and evaluation of AFROTC curriculum within the Detachment and currently teaches the teaches the Senior AS400 course.

Maj Plate entered the Air Force and earned his commission in May 2014 from Detachment 645 Ohio State University. After completing Undergraduate Combat Systems Officer Training, he went on to fly the RC-135 S/U/W at Offutt AFB, NE, working in various roles around the squadron. After completing Squadron Officer School, Maj Plate went through Pilot Instructor Training and the Instructor Training Syllabus to become an Instructor Combat Systems Officer where he held the titles of Flight Commander, Deputy Chief of Mission Plans, and Chief of T-1 Safety.

Maj Plate has deployed 6x in support of HHQ missions all across the world, and has accumulated 1300+ flying hours, 75+ combat hours, and 200+ instructor hours.
